Thank you for your interest in 2015 Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am Tournament. However, this event has been closed.

The Boston Bruins Foundation and NHL Alumni hosted the Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am recently on April 25-26, raising more than $900,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital.

The weekend marked the third annual NHL Alumni Pro-Am Boston, renamed this year in honor of Corey Griffin. The event had already raised more than $800,000 in previous years to support the care and research of pediatric head trauma at the Boston Children’s Hospital Pediatric Head Trauma Unit.

The unit is one of the world’s leading pediatric neuroscience centers for the research of trauma on the developing brain. Funds raised have enabled Boston Children’s Hospital to launch a formal local and regional baseline testing program, expand research efforts by supporting pilot grants in all areas of brain injury research and create opportunities for new, multidisciplinary research projects to create transformative models of care.

The Pro-Am kicked off with a Draft Party on Friday, April 24, at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, Mass. The tournament was held at the New England Sports Center and featured 17 teams, 27 NHL Alumni and 288 tournament participants.

Fundraising efforts produced the Pro-Am’s most successful year yet, with 11 individuals alone raising over $10,000, seven teams raise over $40,000 and two teams combining to raise over $400,000. Sunday’s championship game featured the top fundraising team (with former Bruin Mike Mottau) facing off against the NHL Alumni.

Participants had the opportunity to skate with Bruins greats including Ray Bourque, Bob Beers, Hal Gill, Ken Hodge, Brian Leetch, Rick Middleton and Bob Sweeney, among others.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED FOR A TRULY UNBELIEVABLE YEAR!
