Spread the Net. Save a life! For the third year, STN co-founder, Rick Mercer will be challenging Canadian high school, college and university students to raise awareness and funds for the fight against malaria. In the past two years, thousands of students across Canada have raised more than $650,000 or enough to send 65,000 anti-malarial bed nets to children in Liberia and Rwanda. For the 2009/2010 challenge year, Rick is calling on schools in the West (B.C., Yukon, Alberta, N.W.T., Nunavut, Sask., and Manitoba) to take on schools in the East (Ont. to NL)! The top fundraising high school, college or university from the West and the top one from the East will each receive a personal visit from Rick and will be featured on an episode of The Rick Mercer Report in March 2010!
