Colchester for Kyle

Fundraising Goal $1,000.00

Our Message

Kyle is our buddy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the leg in December. He is a energetic 1st grader at CES and has attended Castle since preschool. He has been in treatment including chemotherapy and an amputation surgery called rotationplasty, this has included weeks in the hospital at a time. He was fitted for a prosthetic leg this week, and will hopefully finish chemotherapy this summer. Please feel free to donate or join our team and come out for the event to show the Ashley family our love and support.

Please join our team and support the m.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer!

If you or someone you love has ever had cancer, you know how devastating it is, physically, emotionally, and financially. The m.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer will raise money to help CT cancer patients pay basic living expenses such as rent, mortgage, and utilities. Since 2015, the m.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer has provided over $85,000 in financial aid to Connecticut families battling cancer.  The money raised this year will provide grants to CT cancer patients through CCF's CT Cancer Patient Assistance Program.

Hi everyone! Below are the station assignments. I will also have these on display in signage when people check-in. Registration begins at 7:15 am – if you can get your team members to arrive on the early side, that would be amazing. There are 150 people checking in and it would be super if they all didn’t arrive at 7:55. ?? Joe wants to start the event promptly at 8:00 am. Parking: With the exception of the Ashleys, everyone has to park in the dirt parking lot off Naubuc Ave. (Marci, you can park in the Community Center parking lot.) There will be signs and volunteers to direct you. Please let your team members know – the Parks & Rec people were really strict about this. Please remind your team to bring any donations with them, plus money for the raffle. I don’t think we can take credit cards, because there isn’t any WiFi, so just cash and checks. We will do drop-ins for $25 each, cash or check. Thank you – see you tomorrow!
