Hello from the Frozen Chosin and a Vanguard
Thank you very much for visiting our Run Ranger Run page. My/Out team consists of 5 combat veterans of the two recent wars.
Patrick Gomez Deployed Twice in support of OIF (Operation Iraq Freedom) with the second deployment ending as a part of OND (Operation New Dawn) when the US pulled out of Iraq.
Scott McDermott, Chris Conte, Cail Strubhar, and Michael Gomez deployed in support of OEF 9-10 (Operation Enduring Freedom). We deployed to the Logar province of Afghanistan and fought hard for the entire 2009 year. Scott, Cail, and Michael all received purple hearts from being injured in combat. We have all remained very good friends and brother since returning and are taking up the Run Ranger Run mission to support The GallantFew’s mission in veteran transition.
All Five members of this team have lost battle buddies due to the transition back from combat and into the civilian world after leaving the service. We also carry our brothers with us that we lost in combat while we run down these 565 miles. We want to help further the outreach that this organization provides and raise awareness to our peer network about the struggles that veterans go through.
Please, if you have the ability to donate $1 to whatever you can responsibly afford, it would be greatly appreciated. These funds will go directly to the GallantFew via the Run Ranger Run program.
Thank you very much for your time,
The Frozen Chosin and a Vanguard!
