Thanks to Ingrid and Shawn for their additions to our cause of ending Homelessness in the Comox Valley. And to others who have increased our concerted amount significantly!! We are nearly at the 6000$ amount, topping last years total by appx $500!!! Much appreciated! We will meet today, Feb 24th, at or just inside the entrance (front if possible, or side if front is not open) and then around 4:30-4:40 take our group photo!

Thanks Steve. Couldn't we just pick up our toques from you when we arrive at Native Sons ? My family couldn't make it here because of Trail airport being socked in so no childs toque necessary - it will be just me walking .

Roz. Fantastic..you put us over the $5,000 mark! Terrific stuff....all the best to all. Saturday, Reg opens at 4, though I am not sure we need Reg as all are already listed. Regular walk starts at about 5. I have distributed some toques ($150 min) and for others will endeavour to get them to you by Friday. If not will see you at the walk! Thanks to all for your hard work!!Annica. Toques are smallish, so might work. for Grand child- will check with office tomorrow to see if there are diff. sizes!

event is Sat, 5 pm, start, registration starts at 4...at Native Sons Hall. I just picked up the Toques, they stayed with the stated requirement of minimum of $150 per person, last year they gave out all on the team, regardless of the amount. So, anyway, will be dropping off to those who have over the minimum. thanks to all of you who have volunteered on this, much appreciated. We are close to our amount of $5500 from last year, so...appreciations to all!

Fabulous new member of our team, Celia!!Thank you, thank you..thank you Celia for your wonderful work on the climate action series and of course for joining our efforts to deal with Homelessness (houselessness) in the Valley! With our child poverty rate at 20% higher than the provincial average, everyone's efforts are so helpful! Feb 24th, meet at Native Sons Hall, for the walk, 430 pm. I will have the toques!

Thanks to all, Allen, Wanda, Keith, Lynn , Lynda, Annica, Roz, Christy, Donna. We are approaching towards our last year total, appx, $5500, so. Who knows. Life and hope are possibilities!! Feb 24th is coming up. I will be keeping you infomred re the toques, think I will be able to pick them up as usual, and then will bring them to the event, I think 430 or so start. Will confirm that. Will keep you all posted! If not us, whom; if not now, when?

Fantastic Donna. You and your anonymous friend are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the great work everyone, we can achieve more when we put our minds to it and reach out. So..try and reach out to others....sometimes all they need is a little knowledge...for example, re poverty levels..the provincial average is 15% of children are living in poverty, our Comox Valley average is 20%. Food for thought.
