My wonderful dad suffered from early onset Alzheimers for over 20 years and spent the last decade of his life at Shalom. While I wish I wasn't so familiar with long term care and Shalom and Alzheimers, I am so thankful for the loving care he received.

My dad passed away just about a year ago and I convinced some great friends to join me on this walkathon so we could raise some money in his honour. He honestly might have thought it was all a little silly but what isn't silly, is community, and taking care of those that need a little or a lot of extra help. 

Please consider donating to this walkathon... maybe if we raise a lot of money, I can do the walkathon in sequins or something and stay true to form;)
