Have you ever saved a life?
You and your family have the opportunity to do just that with your bike or your feet by joining my team for the upcoming Ride for Refuge. We'll be raising funds for an incredible cause with a real-world impact—Inner Hope, a charity that is making a profound difference in the lives of Vancouver's vulnerable youth.
Inner Hope supports and advocates for youth and families in inner-city Vancouver and the Downtown East Side, many of whom are Indigenous and have faced extensive trauma. Through housing, life skills programs, and unwavering support, Inner Hope is helping young people graduate high school, pursue higher education, find employment, and build healthy lives. Their work is vital in addressing the lingering impacts of colonization, residential schools, and systemic racism.
But they can't do it alone. This year, they aim to raise $100,000 to continue providing these life-changing services, and we can help them reach that goal by participating in the Ride for Refuge.
By joining our team, you'll enjoy a day of fun (and my witty retorts) and significantly contribute to the future of some of Vancouver's most vulnerable youth. Whether you ride, walk, or cheer us on, your involvement will make a real difference.
I'm not one to engage in hyperbole, so believe me when I say that joining this team will save lives.
