The opening ceremonies start at 4:00 Could we meet in the sanctuary latest 3:45 so we can be as a group? It gets crowded in there so it’s hard to find each other. I’ll be somewhere on the far left hand side when you walk in hoping to be in the middle. Waivers can be signed when you register. Def want to take a group picture! Bring an umbrella ?? Going to be a lot of fun!

Here are some important pieces of information about the event on Saturday. Please read it carefully and then pass it along to your team members: The event is being held at Pacific Community Church (the home of the Cloverdale Community Kitchen – 5337 180 St) On-site parking is limited and will primarily be reserved for our senior volunteers and participants with young children. There is some street parking available, and we have overflow parking at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in lots C1, C2 and C3 (we are just a short walk down the road from KPU). Registration runs from 3-4pm. Plan to gather with your team at some point during that hour for a photo at our photo booth. We will have kids’ activities (including face painting), refreshments and entertainment happening between 3pm and 4pm. Opening ceremonies will begin at 4pm and then we will send you out walking by 4:30pm. Make sure to join us after your walk for a hearty dinner of lasagna (or vegetarian chili), salad, buns, and dessert. Dinner service begins at 5pm for those walking the 2km route (or really fast walkers on the 5km route!) Anyone walking must be registered and have a waiver form completed (this can all be done online) - so make sure that anyone joining your team to walk has registered online!
