On February 22nd, I will be walking again on the Coldest Night of the Year in support of Fort York Food Bank. This year CPAB has its own team…Team CPAB. You can choose to walk the 2-5 km walk with us, or you can donate on the Team CPAB fundraising page.
Last year, Fort York Food Bank thought the need couldn't get much worse, but this summer, it hit an all-time high of 5,500 clients served. Just after the holiday they had 1,577 clients in a single day! For context, prior to the pandemic, they had only 1,000 per week.
FYFB does not receive any government funding, but through the generosity of individuals and corporate groups, they are able to purchase over $700,000 in food each year.
I would like to ask you to join the team and raise money through peer-to-peer fundraising. FYFB's goal this year is $250,000. Ask a few friends and family and you're there. And the walk itself couldn't be easier 2-5 km on Saturday, February 22 at 5 pm. And even if you can't make it to our location, you can walk anywhere in the world!
If you decide not to join and fundraise, please give generously by clicking the link.
Warmly,
Malcolm
