It's cold out there. And once again I'm putting together a team to walk and raise funds to support Miriam's House. For 30 years Miriam's House has provided housing and support to families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Central Virginia. Their homeless response programs provide homes and restore dignity to our most vulnerable neighbors.

Coldest Night of the Year reminds us that the work is not over to end homelessness in Lynchburg. This is a great opportunity for those of us with progressive values to come together and support our community with our time and/or our dollars. Last year was the first year I participated and the first year I put together a team. We did a great job raising money - ranking #12 out of 40 teams and I ranked #4 out of 400 individuals. Let's try to improve upon those numbers!
