It's cold out there. And this February, our team is going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we're walking and fundraising to support and serve people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.
We have all heard about the crisis of food insecurity in Canada. We are also facing tough times with a potential economic crisis that will exacerbate these affordability issues. So it is important that we come together to support our communities and stand up for those that are less fortunate. The Orangeville food bank supported over 1,500 individuals in December 2024 that is up from a little over 600 people in December 2021. The Coldest Night of the Year event is the major source or funding for the food bank to ensure we continue to provide nourishing food to those that need it. Please join my team and do the walk, or support one of our members, to fight hunger in our community.
