Hi everyone, welcome to The Shay Way team! 

I'm Hannah, our Team Captain. The Shay Way is a charitable endeavour supporting The Ottawa Mission, other shelters throughout the city, and those who are in need of a helping hand most. I founded it in 2023 in loving memory of a well known and loved member of the Ottawa community, who was my colleague and friend, Mike Shay. Mikey was a talented mechanic with a huge heart, he would have given the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He was someone who struggled with addiction, and got back up no matter how many times he was knocked down. He was an open book, and talked about his struggles honestly. He was the definition of resilience. I honour him by supporting those who face the same struggles that he did. 

Walk with me this February to raise awareness for those who need our love and support most in the community. You can also make a donation to our team to support The Ottawa Mission and their life changing initiatives that they offer to those most at risk. Lets keep everybody warm this winter!
