It's cold out there. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we're walking and fundraising to support and serve people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community on Saturday February 28th.

My team, Sole Sisters, will walk 5 km and join hundreds of others in Oshawa to support The Refuge. This amazing organization offers a safe space and a helping hand for at-risk and homeless youth 16-26 years of age in the Durham Region. The Refuge helps youth with things such as programs, meals, laundry and shower facilities, clothing, and advocate for their clients according to their individual needs. They also provide affordable housing and in the winter, an emergency warming centre.
