Every year around February 23rd — Benjamin’s birthday — my family bundles up and walks the Coldest Night of the Year in his honour.

This February will be our third year walking, and it would have been Benjamin’s 8th birthday.

What started as a way to survive an impossibly painful day has grown into something meaningful and powerful. Each year, with the help of our amazing community, we’ve raised around $1,000 to support Caledon Community Services and the families who rely on them for shelter, food, and crisis support.

This year, our team goal is $800 for Benjamin’s 8th birthday, but truly, every single donation, big or small, means the world to us. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL OF $800 and we raised more than last years total of $1385! Let's see how much more we can raise! 

Walking for Benjamin has become a way to keep his memory alive, to teach my kids about kindness, and to help other families who are facing hardships we often don’t see.
