Our Message

It's cold out there. And this February, our team is going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we're walking and fundraising to support and serve people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

We are walking in the cold to support St. Christopher's Anglican Church Open Doors program:

"We grow a vibrant and successful community garden that supports the meals and market programs. We serve over 200 delicious fresh meals weekly and operate a community market (food bank) for people to access food for their families.

Open Doors also offers a free clothing store, Christmas Families and backpack programs supporting hundreds of children each year. We are planning for the future and exploring efforts to create social enterprise opportunities that successfully support a thriving community.

Funds raised through the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk will allow us to continue to grow this good work, safely and with dignity and equity always at the forefront".
