Warm Hearts & Cold Nights:
A Community Walk to Support CRT 💙
February 28th, we walk together — in solidarity, compassion, and community — on one of the coldest nights of the year to support the Community Renewal Team (CRT) and the many neighbors in Connecticut facing homelessness and housing instability.
❄️
Homelessness in Connecticut has been rising for the fourth year in a row. According to the most recent statewide count, roughly 3,700 people were experiencing homelessness in early 2025, with a particularly sharp rise in people sleeping unsheltered — outside or without safe shelter — highlighting the urgency of support services.
❄️
CRT provides critical services to help people find safe shelter, navigate housing challenges, and build toward longer-term stability. From emergency shelter and housing placement to rental assistance and case management, CRT’s work meets immediate needs while helping individuals and families take steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.
❄️
Your presence tonight raises awareness and support for people enduring the harsh realities of homelessness and the organizations working tirelessly to help them.
