I
It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Karen Alton and I are joining forces and reaching out to all the community pickleballers (and their friends) to support this year's COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR WALK on February 28th.
Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, once again, John and I will be walking and fundraising for our program sponsor, the SOUTH EAST GREY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE as well as the United Way to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.
The SOUTH EAST GREY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE is a very special place, and is a leader in our community and the entire region at delivering programs designed to address the social determinants of health including poverty, food insecurity, mental health and isolation.
The centre supports individuals with no family doctor or whose doctor is out of region including seniors, children and youth, the economically disadvantaged, individuals with mental illness/addictions, people with mental and physical disabilities, pregnant women and families, and those most in need in our community.
I’m honoured to sit on their Board of Directors.
Join us or the walk or, please, give generously to my team
