Having up to date racing equipment is one of the key pillars of the Brock Rowing Program. Currently we are trying to raise $18,000 for a new pair/double. We have a tradition of naming our pairs after long time volunteers.
Jeanne Pawluk has been a dedicated volunteer to the team in the capacity of massage therapist for over 15 years. Jeanne started with Brock Rowing on a placement when she was doing her training to become a RMT, and loved working with and helping the athlete she never left. Many of the Brock Rowers since 2005 have benefited from her helping hands, sometimes even emergency appointments in the evening or on holidays.
Jeanne also for most of this time has been a volunteer at all the regattas on Henely Island not only spending many hours working in the medical building but organizing the whole medical team. Many hours were spent outside of regattas recruiting nurses, doctors, paramedics, chiropractors and other massage therapists. Jeanne would also purchase and inventory the many medical supplies required to run the medical building for at least 15 regatta days per year and sometimes more.
Thank you in advance for your support and we will let you know when the boat christening will be so you can help us recognize Jeanne’s hard work with your support.
