Our Message

The "Cold for a Cause" team is on the move with three new members!  We welcome Katherine Humphries, Carol Langman and Kimberly Desmoulin.  Thank you ladies for joining us and for your excellent work fundraising!   Just a reminder that it is to your advantage to pick up your toque and swag bag this Saturday starting at 10 am at Emmanuel Church.  You can also pick up your toque the following Saturday starting at 10.  If you pick up your own toque at the church and you are in the first 150 people you will also be given a swag bag.  Opportunities for photos with your "bubble" will also be available.

Please let me know if you only want your toque and you wish me to pick it up for you.  I plan to be there Saturday at 10 am so would need to know before then.  (Char cell - 705-345-2130)

On Saturday, February 20th we will meet at Grant's Woods at 1:30 to walk "kind of" together.

There is no opening ceremony however there will be a video that will be sent out prior to the event.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at anytime.

Thank you for being such an amazing team!

Charlene Taylor, Team Captain

4th place, and holding, in the day after our walk in a field of 70 teams locally - Cold for a Cause is a terrific group to be part of for this event. Well done everyone!

Cold for a Cause team, you are each an inspiration! At the time of this memo our little team has raised $7,313.50! Shout out to Brian for getting donations from almost everyone living at his condo! Also Cathy had a good idea - in your swag bag was a "Faris neck gater". It would be great if we all wore the same gater. If it is cool you could put a warmer one under it. See you at 1:30 Saturday!

We're holding in 5th position, and doing wonderfully well with the donations to our team. The walk on Saturday will be GREAT - masked and physically distanced for everyone's health and safety!

Cold for A Cause has again joined as a team for Coldest Night of the Year 2021! Hope you will either join our virtual team or support one of our walkers. We have walkers as young as 4 years old that have been part of Coldest Night since babes in arms! Will you help us to build hope together by helping raise funds for the Building Hope Campaign to fund both the 40 bed Lighthouse Community Services (Emergency Shelter/Soup Kitchen/Supportive Services) and 20 unit Lighthouse Supportive Housing
