Amount Raised
Fundraising Goal $2,000.00

Our Message

On October 2, we're fundraising in the Ride for Refuge to help some lovely people run community groups, after school programs and summer camps in Indigenous communities. Instead of a traditional bike ride, though, we're going to have some fun with a life-sized game of Trouble!

When: Saturday, Oct 2, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Where: parking lot of Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 100 Hoffman St, Kitchener

Spectators: Please bring your own chair, and don't forget a mask in case you need to go inside.

We did this last year and had a blast, but this year we'll spice things up: for every $40 we raise as a group (everyone participating in the game), we will add a card to a "chance" deck that teams have to draw from when they roll a 1. The cards could give the drawing team a bonus, like an extra turn, or a penalty like going backwards 4 spaces. When they're all used, the play just goes back to normal, so let's try to get a lot of them!

Also, for every $500 we raise as a group, we'll add extra things to the board itself, like shortcuts through the board, or "black holes" that make a player out automatically. How crazy can we make this game? 😆

Be sure to talk to Rebecca and register one person from your family here on the Ride for Refuge site if you and your family want to play! Or, just come out to cheer on your favourite colour on the board. And please consider giving generously to this good cause!

By participating in the RIDE, we're supporting a charity working with people who often get left behind or ignored. We want to do our part to bring hope and refuge to those precious people. Thanks for supporting us! #ride21

Hi Rose, we’ll arrange the teams for the game once we have all of the players signed up. I’ve put you and Olivia on the list. You can count as being in our family, or you can register here separately in order to get your own donations page, as you share with others what this fundraiser is all about. Only the money that is pledged here by Oct 2 will count toward making the game more exciting, but Ride for Refuge will continue to accept donations until the end of October.

Hi Rebecca, I'd like to join (as long as it's not raining :) I could join your team, or be part of a different team (unless me and Livy were enough to be a team? I'm hoping she can join.) Do I need to donate before the day of the game?
