It's cold out there. And on February 25, thousands of Canadians across the country will be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger.. Grace Place, located on Simpson St., is a street ministry that ministers to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our community. Their congregation are the poor, homeless, and those that suffer from addictions, mental illness and the socially marginalized. Grace Ministries relies on volunteers and operates entirely on the finanicial donations from individuals, businesses and other organizations in order to provide free services/care and support to people in need in our community. These include approximately 1000 hot meals/week, free clothing, personal care products, baby supplies, and small household items, monthly food hampers and providing access to free services/support through community partners/volunteers including street nursing, EMS health promotion/prevention care, haircuts, Narcotics Anonymous, and offers emergeny overnight shelter in the winter months.
