Join Amici’s Canoe Crew
You can now participate in Amici’s Canoe Heads for Kids as a non-paddler and portager! Amici’s Canoe Crew allows members to stay involved and fundraise to send deserving kids to camp even if you are unable to participate on event day:
Canoe Crew members join an existing team of Canoe Heads participants. You can either join a team of your fellow camp alumni or a team of Amici alumni. To learn more, get in touch with Robyn at robyn@amicicharity.org or 416.588.8026.
Your personal online fundraising page shows your progress as you raise funds to send kids to camp this summer. Tell your story, the story of your teammates or the Amici story to your friends, family and colleagues, to motivate them to support your team.
Better yet, raise funds by participating in your own urban canoe trip ahead of event day and document it on social media using #CanoeHeads2019. Go for a walk with a boat on your head, take the ol’ canoe for a paddle or roast an ooey gooey s’more over a campfire and spread the word about Amici’s Canoe Heads for Kids! You’ll receive an official participant t-shirt.
On event day, participate in spirit and show your support, from wherever you are:
- If you are out of town, wear your Canoe Heads shirt and post a #CanoeCrew selfie.
- If you are able, line the route to cheer on portagers and paddlers as they complete the course!
- Join the 4:30pm Finish Line Celebration at Harbourfront Canoe and Kayak Centre.
