About Us

Why We Move to Give

Excitement is in the air as we gear up for the Y's 12th Move To Give fundraising event, with community-driven events that are bound to elicit excitement and connection! During the first two weeks of April, 2026, community members, YMCA staff and members will be participating in events across Simcoe Muskoka.

Our collective aim is to rally and raise $100,000, providing essential support for the heart of the YMCA—our programs and services that impact your community.

This annual event plays a pivotal role in breaking down financial barriers, ensuring that local families and individuals of all ages can access our transformative programs. It's incredible to think that 1 in 10 families in our region depend on crucial financial support to make memberships and programs accessible. Across Simcoe County, the District Municipality of Muskoka and the District of Parry Sound, the YMCA provides diverse programs and services. From health and fitness initiatives, swimming lessons, and licensed child care to employment/literacy services, immigrant services, leadership training for the not-for-profit sector, and camps for children, youth, and families—the Y's programs inspire people to reach their full potential.

We owe our successes to the incredible support from generous donors and sponsors

Over a decade of unwavering commitment, we've shaped how we build healthier communities and reimagine the possibilities. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's been part of this transformative journey!

Move to Give has raised over $1,000,000 in the past eleven events and engaged over 15,000 participants! Your contribution is more than dollars—it's an investment in the well-being of our community, propelling us toward a brighter and healthier future for all.

Let’s MOVE once more, celebrating our 12th event and continuing to support those in our community.

Your participation adds to the momentum, ensuring that we can create positive local change together.
