The OSP Community Development Corporation is a not-for-profit corporation developed from the leadership and stewardship from the Optimist Club of Saskatoon. Established in 1967 the Optimist Club of Saskatoon is part of a much larger international organization with a mission: To Bring Out The Best In Kids.

The OSP Community Development Corporation designed this campaign to upgrade Diefenbaker Park to a Recreation Park & Lifestyle Activity Centre. This plan has the support of the Administration and City Council for Saskatoon

This Recreation Park and Lifestyle & Activity Centre will give families, kids and visitors a fantastic venue at which to Go Play Outside! Year round this facility will provide both winter and summer recreation fun. Ameities such as the Free Tobogganing will be maintained, in fact the toboggan hill will be expanded and enhanced for different levels of users. Activities such as Frizbee Golf, Lacrosse and baseeball/Softball already played at Diefenbaker Park will be continued. And many more activities and amenities will be added including:

  • Tube Runs
  • Snowboard Runs
  • Climbing Wall
  • Slip and Slide
  • Bike Treks
  • Public washrooms and warm up areas
  • Access to Meewasin Trails
  • Consession
  • Hosting/Meeting rooms
