What is Be B.A.D. for Good?
B.A.D.stands for Buck A Day.
It's an opportunity for you to easily invest in your community by donating a dollar a day! When you donate $365 you are helping make an impact right here in Thunder Bay.
For example, $365 provides:
- Food hampers for 3 families, including diapers, formula, and bus tokens
- Life Skills & Social Integration training to an adult experiencing employment barriers
- Child care support and transportation for 30 families receiving walk-in counselling services
Why Should I Be B.A.D.?
When you make the decision to Be B.A.D. your donation will have twice the impact!
Tbaytel have teamed together and will match (up to $10,000) any first time donation of $365/year. If you're already a donor, but not quite a B.A.D. donor, they will also match the amount you donate bringing you up to $365/year. With the charitable tax credit your $365 donation only costs $259.
How Can I Make My B.A.D. Donation?
If you have an Employee Campaign at your workplace, consider increasing your payroll deduction to $365/year. Payroll deduction is simple! The deduction comes right off your paycheque, and your donation will be reflected on your T4 - there's no other paperwork to worry about!
When filling out your payroll donation form, a $365/year donation works out to the following:
$14.04 x 26 pay periods
$15.21 x 24 pay periods
