AMAPCEO Members Supporting Those Affected by the Floods

During the early summer, residents in communities across Eastern Ontario have been battling rising waters along the Ottawa River. Flooding has caused widespread damage to homes, it has isolated our community’s most vulnerable, and in many cases has forced families to abandon their homes.

Across our region and beyond, we saw individuals and organizations work tirelessly to protect their communities.

At United Way, we received many messages of concern from the community – people who wanted to help immediately and in the long-term. Together, we are working with front-line agencies and partners to help those in need, such as vulnerable seniors, those without insurance, and those living in low-income situations. Together we will provide support now and into the year ahead.

AMAPCEO has donated $500 to these initiatives, and is encouraging their members and allies to continue to support this important work with a donation that will be matched by other United Way donors.
