In-Person Tryouts

 Maccabi Canada’s priority will always be the health and safety of our delegation. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Maccabi Canada has convened a committee composed of leading Canadian health experts to ensure we are taking all necessary precautions as well as adhering to local and provincial guidelines.

Based on current projections, Maccabi Canada anticipates our coaches being able to hold in-person tryouts in August / September 2021. The nature of these tryouts in terms of size, location(s) as well as other necessary COVID-19 protocols can and will only be determined at a later date.

 In advance of the tryouts, Maccabi Canada is requiring that all individuals in attendance, both athletes and staff:

 Â·        Receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks prior to the  tryout;

·         Provide documentation confirming vaccination prior to the tryout;

·         Complete a self-assessment for any COVID-19 symptoms the morning of the tryout.

 Please note that these requirements are subject to change, depending on local and provincial guidelines and recommendations from Maccabi Canada’s COVID-19 committee.
