Please Support my Ride Across Canada for the YMCA
I believe in building a healthy, more accessible community. Everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances, should be able to invest in their health – mind, body, and spirit.
Beginning May 22, I will be raising funds to build healthy communities with the YMCA by cycling from Vancouver to Halifax. Over the course of my 6000 km journey, I will be riding anywhere from 50-60kms per day in the mountains, and up to 100kms per day in the prairies.
When I started biking about 4 years ago, I wanted to be more environmentally minded. I also began volunteering with a local bike group, the Halifax Cycling Coalition, helping advocate for accessibility in our local communities and across Canada. It is so important that people have access to a healthy lifestyle – whether with safe roads for cyclists or programs and services like those provided by the YMCA. Now I get to see Canada by bike, pushing myself with the biggest challenge I have ever taken on.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many, when you make a gift to the Y. Please make a donation to support my ride across Canada and the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and help me reach my goal of raising $6000. All donations over $20.00 will get a tax receipt.
