My Message

I am participating in Outrun the Stigma (OTS) Calgary in support of Jessica and the Distress Centre Calgary (DCC). OTS is an annual 5k walk/10k run that aims to reduce mental health stigma. DCC provides 24/7 crisis support, professional counselling and 211 referrals, all at no cost. I’m running in Jessica Izquierdo’s honour and legacy, who passed away on September 10th 2018. Jessica’s mother is a past co-worker of mine, we taught several years together.

OTS is an annual 5k walk/10k run.
