Thanks for everyone involved who helped us raise $700,000!
Not all heroes wear capes, some of them wear skates! Over the weekend 400 participants and 24 NHL alumni raised more than $700,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick as part of the 4th annual BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend. Since 2012, BMO Hockey Heroes in Moncton has raised over $2.3 million for heart and stroke programs and services in this province. “This year marks our 50th anniversary as a Foundation in New Brunswick. Our incredible signature event, BMO Hockey Heroes, showcases everything our organization has come to be known for –dedicated volunteers, sponsors who are truly partners, record-setting fundraising and a quality experience,” says Kurtis Sisk, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick CEO. “What has moved me the most is seeing the love of hockey combined with the work our teams put forth in a year-long effort to help create survivors in our province, because of their passion for our cause, we can continue to invest in even more high-caliber research that has the potential to make significant change in New Brunswick,” says Sisk.
