What is the impact of sponsorship?
When families bear the hardship of poverty, sponsorship is the hand of another person reaching out to help. In reaching out, we share the gifts already entrusted to us: education, nutrition, healthcare and empowerment. It is a gift not only for the child or elderly person who is sponsored - as well as their family and community - but it is also a gift for us here in Canada. It is a gift we can share with our communities, families and the children in our own homes.
As a mission team, we have a goal to inspire the sponsorship of 50 children - all of whom live in and near the communities we will visit in Canete. We will have an opportunity to spend time with these children, and can bring them personal greetings from their sponsor families in Canada.
