For the first time in a few years, I am going to be participating in the day of Move to Give! Instead of seeing how many pounds I can deadlift or how many pull-ups I can suffer through, I will be joining a team at the Innisfil Y to pull a Fire Truck!

The YMCA impacts
Children
- Welcoming children from over 4,000 families in an educationally supportive environment at one of 75 licensed child care sites.
- Engaging over 2,200 children in camp throughout the region at one of 10 sites for summer camp fun.
- Ensuring over 5,500 children access to swimming lessons teaching lifesaving techniques to keep them safe around the water.
Youth
- Helping over 1,200 youth seek counselling, training and outreach support through the Y's Youth Services.
- Serving over 4,700 youth who are building healthy habits and social supports through Health, Fitness and Aquatics memberships.
- Providing youth opportunities to develop leadership skills, make friends and participate in their community to earn volunteer hours, certifications and high school credits.
Our Neighbours
- Working with over 5,000 unemployed and underemployed individuals every year assisting them with skills training and resources through the Y’s Employment Services.
- Welcoming over 1,700 new Canadians this year offering settlement services, English classes and a “home away from home” through the Y’s Immigrant Services Centre.
- Partnering with local hospitals and health services allow the Y to offer rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from cancer, cardiac incidents and living with chronic health.

- The YMCA provided over a million dollars in financial assistance last year to ensure a healthy life is accessible to all
