Move to Give is gearing up for something spectacular this year—the Y's 10th fundraising event on the weekend of June 8 & 9, 2024. Our shared mission is to rally together and raise an ambitious $100,000 vital to supporting the heart of the YMCA’s mission—allowing access to all the Y’s transformative programs and services that directly impact our community.
Why I Choose to MOVE and Fundraise:
This year, for YMCA's 10th Annual Move to Give, I am fundraising to help send children to day camp.
Lauren and Audrey have been attending the YMCA Day Camp for four years, and I have seen firsthand the incredible impact that camp can have on a child's life.
It's more than just a few weeks of fun – it's an experience that shapes their confidence, builds lifelong friendships, and creates cherished memories.
Sadly, not every child has access to this enriching experience. Financial barriers can stand in the way, depriving kids of the chance to explore the great outdoors, try new activities, and grow in a supportive community.
That's why I'm passionate about raising funds to send children from our community to day camp. Every dollar raised will help provide scholarships for kids who might otherwise miss out on this transformative opportunity.
Summer camp isn't just about keeping kids busy – it's about fostering independence, resilience, and a love for adventure. It's about teaching them valuable life skills in a setting where they feel safe to explore and discover who they are.
