The Friends of Lou are organizing a fundraising event to support Sunnybrook Brain Cancer research in memory of Lou Mollicone. All proceeds will be directed to the Gord Downie Fund for research to end Glioblastoma-the most common and most aggressive cancerous primary brain tumour. To learn more about GBM visit https://sunnybrook.ca/content/?page=glioblastoma-brain-tumour
To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Lou’s passing and his birthday, we would like to fulfill one of his desires to hold this event in support of research. Some of you may not know that Lou willingly participated in a trial to help put an end to this disease. He communicated that even if the trial did not help him to overcome the disease, that it would assist the research collected to guide the treatment for future patients.
Gord Downie and Lou were both diagnosed in the same month and year and treated by the same medical professionals at Sunnybrook. In honour of both, please consider joining us for the fundraising event on April 20th, 2018 at 6:30pm at the Jewel in Vaughan. To purchase tickets to the event please contact info@friendsoflou.ca
If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation, click on the “Donate Now” button above. Tax receipts will be issued electronically to all donors. Funds raised will go toward cutting-edge research and patient care. Together we can help support the life saving work that Sunnybrook does everyday.
Together we will fight to beat this disease for all of those that we have lost as we strive to create a cancer free future for generations to come.
Heartfelt gratitude,
The Mollicone, Reale & Iamundo families
