Volunteer

We are always looking for extra help on race day. If you are unable to participate as a runner or walker but are interested in volunteering on race day, just email Kate at steadystrides@parkinsonswellness.org with your availability and interest in any of the below opportunities.

Course Volunteers

Our course volunteers help runners and walkers stay on track. We need people to direct traffic, ride lead bikes, and pass out water. Course volunteers arrive at 7:30am race morning, and are finished with their duties when the last walker crosses the finish line around 11:45am. This role requires standing for several hours at a time.

Office Volunteers

Help in the registration and packet pick up office on race day! We operate out of the Lindner Family Tennis Center's ticket office, and serve several hundred registrants on race morning. Office volunteers must arrive at 7am for a brief training on how to use the office equipment. There are opportunities both for individuals who can easily move around and those who would be more comfortable seated. Some office volunteers will be able to leave in time to participate in the run/walk at 9am, while others will be finished with their duties around 11am. If you'd like to volunteer in the office, but also participate in the race, just let us know!

Race Day Donations

Have a business looking to contribute to a good cause? We need donations of goods and services from local businesses for race day in exchange for logo placement on the race t-shirt and in the Parkinson's Wellness Chapter's newsletters. If you can help us to make the day great, check out our donation packet.
