ABOUT THE INDY CYCLING CHALLENGE

July 13, 2017 at the Honda Indy Toronto Track (Exhibition Place,Toronto)
Registration opens at 2 p.m. and the first race starts at 4 p.m.

This exclusive chance for cycling enthusiasts to experience the Honda Indy Toronto race track like never before. Racers will each cycle 3 laps of the closed track (a 2.89km lap – 8km total) that passes the Prince's Gates, BMO Field and offers scenic views along the Lakeshore.

Entry is $250 and each cyclist must raise $1,000

 

All funds raised support Prostate Cancer Canada!

Alexander Rossi is an elite athlete and accomplished professional race car driver. From 2009 – 2014 Alexander was the Test or Official Reserve Driver for BMW / Sauber, Team Lotus, Caterham and Marussia Formula One Teams. Each year as these Formula 1 teams built, tested and simulated for their new Formula 1 Challenger, Alexander’s talent and abilities proved invaluable for the development of each new Formula 1 car. For 2017, Alexander is taking his Formula 1 skill to Andretti Autosport to race in the #98 Honda Indy Car entry for the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series. Alexander is the 2016 winner of the Indianapolis 500 and the 2016 Indy Car Rookie of the Year

Curt Harnett is a four-time Olympian, three time Olympic medalist in Track Cycling. He also earned medals at the World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games during his 14 year career. Curt was the Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the 2015 Toronto Pan American Games and, most recently, the Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. We are thrilled to have Curt help support Prostate Cancer Canada at the Indy Cycling Challenge!

Steve Fleck is one of the leading Endurance Sports Race/Event Announcers in North America for cycling, running and triathlon races and events. It's a natural extension of life spent, running, cycling and racing triathlons since his mid-teens. He lives in Aurora, Ontario with his wife, and their dog, Gravy!

Event Day check-in will open at 2 p.m.

10km Challenge Details:

The 10KM Challenge race will start at 4:00 p.m.

Each cyclist will race 4 laps (11.6km) 

Special guest Indy 500 Champion - Alexander Rossi

25km Challenge Details:

The 25KM Challenge race will start at 6:00 p.m.

Each cyclist will race 9 laps (26.1km)
