Frequently Asked Questions

Please read below for some common questions about the HSC National Symposium! If you have a question that is not listed below, please contact events@huntingtonsociety.ca

What if there is no Symposium location near me?

You can still be a part of the National Symposium from home! Register online using the 'Virtual Viewer' option and we will send you a link so you can watch from home!

I'm having trouble registering online.

Not to worry - give us a call at 1-800-998-7398 or email events@huntingtonsociety.ca and we will help you register.

The National Symposium is free. Do I have to register in advance?

Yes! Space is limited at our sites, and many of our volunteer hosts are providing refreshments. It is important that we know how many people are coming to be sure we have enough room, and enough refreshments.

Can I help with my local Symposium event?

We would love your assistance! Please contact the Kitchener Office (1-800-998-7398) to get in touch with your local coordinator to see how you can best help on a local level. In the early stages, volunteers can help with promotion and planning things such as food and beverage, while at the event, many sites need help signing in attendees, monitoring the audio-visual component, and setting up food and beverage.

Is the National Symposium site wheelchair accessible?

While we strive to ensure accessibility at all Symposium venues, we cannot guarantee it. If you are wondering if your site is accessible, contact the Kitchener Office (1-800-998-7398), and we will investigate for you!

I am not available on October 14th. Will the National Symposium be recorded?

Absolutely! While you won't be able to take part in the live Q&A with some of our leading researchers, the presentations themselves will be available on the Huntington Society of Canada's website following the event.
