Event Information

People around the world, even people in our neighborhood, are suffering from the injustices of prejudice.  The struggle to protect civil rights for all has made great strides in the last few decades, but we are not finished yet!  Join us at the Navy Yard On Sunday, May 19th to make a difference.

Over 30 local nonprofit organizations will be highlighting the important work they do within our community at the Diversity Expo. The topics of these groups include LGBT equality, immigration services, culture, ethnicity and more. On stage, local and diverse entertainers will be performing as participants check in and explore the Diversity Expo area. Face painting, balloon artistry and magicians will be on-site as well. Light refreshments and snacks will be available to registered event participants following the two mile walk.

Parking:
We recommend arriving early to take advantage of the most desirable nearby parking lots. Lots to the north of the venue (bordering Intrepid Avenue and South 13th Street) are open to participants, as well as ample street parking.

THE WALK IS RAIN OR SHINE!
