Welcome to Amici’s Virtual Canoe Heads for Kids! Now that you’re registered, you’re on your way to becoming a camp hero for a deserving child. Now’s the time to get familiar with your online fundraising page! Sign in to your fundraising page and be sure to personalize it:
- Sign in here!
- Add a photo of you from your camping days hint: the more embarrassing, the better!
- Write a little bit about what camp means to you and why you've chosen to be a Canoe Head!
- Send messages to friends and family to kick-start your fundraising efforts! Don't forget those former camping friends who understand the magic of camp.
Fundraising Tips
There are so many ways to reach your fundraising goals and the team at Amici is here to help you every step of the way. Along the journey to Amici’s Virtual Canoe Heads for Kids 2020, you will receive emails with samples of fundraising successes, methods of utilizing social media to raise funds, and many other proven tips! Here are some to get you started:
- Set the pace and donate to yourself! Your supporters will be eager to help you reach your goal if they see that you yourself are supporting the cause!
- Let your family and friends know your plans for Saturday, May 30! Are you subbing 15 km of canoeing and portaging for a 15 km run? Will you be completing 15 camp activities at home? Share your plans, build the hype and ask for support! Remember, Amici families need camp more than ever right now!
- Personalize your communications. Share your story about what camp means to you or why you’ve chosen to support Amici campers! It’s camp. Feel free to make it fun!
- Hold a fundraising event for yourself or with your team! Here are some successful ideas from past Canoe Heads participants: a Bar Night, a Karaoke Night, a Yoga-thon, a Raffle, a car-wash.
- Paste your fundraising link in the signature of your work, personal or school email with a short but sweet message!
- Utilize social media! Shout it from the rooftops that you are participating in something truly unique and amazing. Here are some ready-to-go photos to share with your social networks. Don't forget to include the link to your personal fundraising page in the photo description so your friends know where to donate.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Did you know that many employers offer to match charitable contributions made by their employees? Awesome sauce, am I right?! Why not see if this can apply to your personal Canoe Heads fundraising?
Effectively, this could double your support and double your impact, either sending kids to camp for twice as long or by sending twice as many kids to camp.
