STEPS TO CREATE A NEW TEAM:
- Click blue REGISTER button in the middle of the page.
- If you have participated in the Cycle Against Cancer in the past, you can register with your old login info. If you can’t remember it, just click on “Forgot Your Username or Password?” to reset it. Or click Create New Account.
- Once you are logged in, choose Iron House Fitness as your location, then click NEXT.
- Click the check box to accept the waiver, then click NEXT.
- REGISTRATION TYPE: Click on CREATE A TEAM. Choose a name for your team and set a goal (we ask for a goal of at least $1,000, please!)
- From there you will enter your personal information and create your account on the fundraising site. This will allow you to login and see your fundraising progress. You can also personalize your fundraising page with your own photos and/or text. From there, you can also craft personalized emails to be sent out with the link to your personal page within those emails.
STEPS TO JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM:
The steps are the same as creating a team above, except when you get to the REGISTRATION TYPE screen, you choose JOIN A TEAM instead of CREATE A TEAM.
STEPS TO FUNDRAISE
- Login to your profile (Click LOGIN in upper right corner of CYCLEAGAINSTCANCER.ORG page.)
- As a Team Captain, you will be able to send emails directly from your fundraising page to:
- Ask for donations
- Recruit friends
- Thank donors
- Recruit team members
- Email your team members
- Select Ask for Donations and you will be taken to a page with a template e-mail that you can send out. If this is your first time using the system, you will need to enter the e-mail addresses. You can either enter them manually or import them from your contacts.
- You can personalize the e-mail, if you want or send it out as is. The e-mail will include a link for people to give directly to your personal fundraising page.
- The My Fundraising button will take you to a page where you can edit your personal page, add pictures and videos, and fundraise.
- If you want to get people to join your team, click the Recruit Friends button on your dashboard home. This is a similar setup to asking for donations (template e-mail, option to e-mail your friends, etc), however, the link that is in this e-mail is for joining the team, not donating to it.
STEPS TO MANAGE YOUR TEAM
- Login to your profile
- In the lefthand menu, there is a box that says “Team.”
- From there you can e-mail your current team members, recruit new ones, and edit your team page. You can also thank donors that have donated directly to your team (rather than an individual on your team.)
