Dear Friends --
Wars don’t end on the battlefield. The burdens of military service take a large toll on our nation’s veterans, many of whom return home to experience mental and physical health issues, income challenges including homelessness and, most tragically, even suicide. Veterans face a host of bureaucratic barriers on the path to successful civilian lives. The Connecticut Veterans Legal Center helps veterans overcome legal barriers to housing, healthcare and income.
The CVLC, co-founded by my father, Howard Udell, was the first legal services organization in the country to be co-located, and staffed on a daily basis, within a VA community mental health facility. It provides critical and life changing services to those who need it most -- brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for us all.
This is why, once again, I'm participating in The RIDE For Our Vets, to be held this year on June 16, 2018.
The funds raised through The RIDE allow CVLC to serve hundreds of deserving Connecticut veterans each year. For every $1 raised, CVLC returns $8 to veterans in increased income and reduced debt. It is such an impressive record of accomplishment, and worthy of all our support.
Please join me and donate now -- you may very well change a veteran's life!
Thank you for your support. Respectfully,
Jeff
