Q: What should I bring?

Players
Make sure you bring your soccer gear, sunscreen, and team spirit! Drinks and snacks will be available for players in the players’ lounge.

Spectators
Feel free to bring foldable chairs and snacks to enjoy while watching the games! There will be food and drinks available for purchase at the festival during and after the tournament, along with fun activities for the entire family.

Q: How much do I have to fundraise?

Each team is required to raise at least $3,000 to participate in the tournament in addition to the player registration fees; however we encourage you to challenge yourself to raise more! Teams and individuals who fundraise the most will receive prizes, incentives, and advantages throughout the tournament.

Q: Where do the funds raised go?

We’re passionate about the well-being of our neighbours affected by mental health and addiction. The stigma associated with these devastating—yet incredibly common— health conditions often prevents those struggling from getting the help they need. We’re going to change that while bringing East Toronto together for a day of fun, friendly competition, and community pride. All funds raised through pledges and donations will support the hospital’s redevelopment of our mental health services to create better healing spaces for our most vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours.

Q: What do I wear?

Please dress according to the weather, and be prepared to be active and sweaty! Active wear including shorts, soccer socks, shin guards, and hats are recommended as this is an all-day outdoor event. Team jerseys will be provided to each participating team.

Please note that metal cleats will not be permitted for safety reasons.

Q: I am not playing in the soccer tournament. Can I still come?

In addition to the games, we will keep the fun rolling with a community festival, featuring live music, games, a beer garden, and an eclectic mix of street food reflecting the diversity of our neighbourhoods. There is fun to be had by all!
