The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka provides a wide variety of programs and services across the communities of Simcoe, Muskoka and Parry Sound. Whether it is through health and fitness programs, swimming lessons, licensed child care, employment/literacy services, immigrant services, leadership training for the not-for-profit sector, outreach and counselling programs for youth or camps for children, youth and families, Y programs inspire people to reach their full potential.
This year marks the Y's 5th annual "Move to Give" event. On April 6, 2019, more than 1,300 people at 8 different locations will join together to raise funds through a wide variety of physical activities. In just one day, our goal is to raise over $100,000 in support of the Y's efforts to build healthy communities.

We Move to Give children a strong start and a bright future
- Providing licensed Child Care to over 4,000 families,
- Sending 2,200 children to camp
- Ensuring over 5,500 children access swimming lessons
We Move to Give Youth opportunities to meet their full potential
- Providing outreach support, counselling and training to over 1200 youth
- Helping hundreds of youth earn certifications and high school credits through YMCA programs
- Over 4,000 youth are building healthy habits and social supports through Health, Fitness and Aquatics memberships
We Move to Give our neighbours the chance at a new beginning
- The Y's Employment Services work with over 5,000 unemployed and underemployed individuals every year
- YMCA Immigrant Services welcomed over 1,700 new Canadians this year offering settlement services, English classes and a "home away from home"
- Partnership programs with local hospitals and health services allow the Y to offer rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from cancer, cardiac incidents and living with chronic conditions such as COPD
We Move to Give equal opportunities for everyone to live a healthy lifestyle
- The YMCA provided over a million dollars in financial assistance last year to ensure a healthy life is accessible to all
- 1 in 5 participants are supported through financial assistance
- YMCA programs serve people of all ages, back grounds and abilities creating a centre of community where everyone can belong
